A Word from Amy

Dear friends,

It is good to dedicate time each week to be with God amongst fellow pilgrims. To bring to this sanctified space our needs, our wonderings, our prayers for the world, for our families, and for ourselves. To offer God our thanks and praise. To open Scripture (the Bible) and allow the timeless stories and teachings “within” to change us ever so slightly as we learn and grow as friends and followers of Jesus. To break bread together in the sacrament of Holy Communion, become one with Jesus the Christ whom we receive as food. The only food that will satisfy our hunger for God.

Feel free to take a look at our St. Matthew’s Liturgy by clicking the link below the image above. On Sundays we will use this or other liturgies. It has some information at the beginning, particularly for those who have not used a liturgy before or who may be interested learn what the different parts mean.      It would be great to see you on Sunday. Give me a txt or call, or an email, if you would like to talk prior; otherwise, please feel welcome. Bring the family and any children. We have tables with activities available.

We read in the Bible “do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).   May this peace of God be yours.  May nothing rise to trouble you; only, seek first and know the peace of God everywhere and in everything.

May our worship be a blessing of peace to us all that we may share with those around us.

Revd. Amy Houben
